It happened around 9:20 a.m. Thursday on Somers Point-Mays Landing Road near Zion Road in the Scullville section of the township.
Police say a Honda, driven by Kimberly Juliana, 39, of Egg Harbor Twp., left its lane as it came around a curve and sideswiped a guardrail. Police say it appears Juliana over-corrected and drove into the path of a propane truck driven by Les McKannan, 51, of Beesley's Point, New Jersey.
Juliana was pronounced dead at the scene. Her 8-year-old daughter was pulled from the vehicle and taken to Shore Memorial Hospital, but died shortly thereafter.
McKannan was not hurt.
Police say, at the time of the collision, snow, sleet and rain were falling.
The road was closed for about four hours during the investigation.
