But a couple of organizations are having sales to help high-school girls cut costs, while still looking great for their special night.
Last week, we took to you the Fairy Godmothers prom gown sale at the Cheltenham Square Mall, which continues this Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. To see my story about this sale, where deserving high-school seniors can get gowns for $10, click here.
Also this weekend, Zion Baptist Church in Ardmore, Pa., is sponsoring a prom gown sale. For a $25 donation, girls can get a gown, shoes and other accessories. All the gowns are gently used and donated.
Zion Baptist is located at 122 Ardmore Avenue. The sale will be held Saturday, March 13, 2010, from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. and on Sunday, March 14, 2010, from 12:00 noon until 4:00 p.m.
