The incident happened around 10:30 Sunday night outside the Top Cat Club on the 5000 block of North 5th Street in Olney.
Two men are ambushed the bar's owner when he stepped outside.
The robber then shot 47-year old John Adams and rifled through his pockets.
Before leaving, the gunman stood over Adams and shot him again.
Adams survived and is hospitalized in stable condition.
Anyone with information on the suspects is asked to call police.
