Shortly after 7:00 p.m., fire crews were called to a single family brick home along the 600 block of Fairview Avenue.
Once there, neighbors told the firefighters that an elderly woman may still be inside.
While crews made quick work extinguishing the fire, they also managed to pull the elderly woman from the burning house.
She has been taken to the hospital where there's no word on her condition.
Investigators are looking for the cause.
