Philadelphia Zoo has a "Smart Idea" for you

Philadelphia, PA - July 14, 2010

This event includes keeper talks at the aye-aye and ruffed lemur exhibits for guests to learn extraordinary facts.

Guests can make an orangutan door hanger, forage in a tree like tamarins and learn to walk like a gorilla. PECO will also be on hand to discuss their "Smart Ideas" program designed to help reduce home energy consumption which aids efforts in wildlife preservation.

On July 17th the guests can experience the Zoo in their pajamas during Sunset Safari: PECO Pajamarama from 4 to 8pm. The Zoo will extend its hours to allow visitors to explore the Zoo before bedtime. Sunset Safari will feature feedings for numerous animals including gorillas, coatis, jaguars and otters, as well as a live performance from Shadowtrax a group of child performers from the Fairmount area.
