Philly man charged in fatal jewelry store shooting

PHILADELPHIA - November 11, 2010

Authorities say 27-year-old Obina Onyiah was one of two men who entered William Glatz Jewelers on October 21 and started a shootout that left two people dead.

Sixty-seven-year-old Bill Glatz was killed in the robbery attempt along with 22-year-old assailant Kevin Turner. Authorities say Turner had escaped from the Curran-Fromhold Correctional Facility a little more than a week earlier.

Onyiah was arraigned early Thursday morning on charges including murder, robbery, conspiracy and weapons offenses. He is being held without bail.
