NJ gov praises Obama speech, defends Palin

TRENTON, N.J. - January 13, 2011

On ABC's "Good Morning America" Thursday, Christie praised President Obama's Tucson speech for bringing people together and keeping politics out of it.

He also tells GMA host George Stephanopoulos that he thinks Sarah Palin could have chosen her words more carefully in a video in which she used the phrase "blood libel" to defend herself and rebuke her critics.

Christie, a GOP rising star, says he doesn't think anybody believes that Palin was trying "bring violence on."

Christie says, "she should have just said that and left it at that."
