Police have arrested a man they say stole a safe from his sister's home and used his nephew's skateboard to wheel it away.

The Delaware County Daily Times reports 46-year-old William Lee was arrested Sunday, hours after police say he broke into his sister's Upper Darby home and made off with a safe.

Investigators say a police sergeant stopped Lee after seeing him pushing the pilfered safe down the street on a skateboard. Lee claimed he was moving the safe to his house but his bleeding hands aroused the suspicion of the officer, who took Lee into custody.

The Daily Times report (http://bit.ly/t0suVK ) says police used a stun gun on Lee after he allegedly tried to assault officers at police headquarters.

Court records do not list an attorney for Lee.
