Pedestrian struck, killed by SEPTA train in Montco

HUNTINGDON VALLEY, Pa. - March 31, 2012

It happened around 11:45 Saturday morning on the tracks near the 100 block of Tomlinson Road in Huntingdon Valley.

Police say the unidentified male was struck by the train near the Philmont Station.

Authorities believe that it was a suicide. The victim left a note and his dog was tied to a bench at the train station.

No word on the victim's identity, an investigation is ongoing.

So far service has been shut down in both directions on the West Trenton Line.
