Reward in brutal dragging incident in Feltonville

PHILADELPHIA - JUNE 14, 2012

The Citizens Crime Commission is putting up $2500 for information leading to the driver's arrest and conviction.

Ryan Lees was on his motorcycle on May 25th when he was rear-ended by a driver in an SUV at Wyoming and Avenue A in Feltonville.

Lees became lodged under the vehicle. When the driver fled the scene, Lees was dragged for six blocks before the driver stopped, pulled him out from under the vehicle and threw the injured man between a couple of cars at Tampa and Courtland Streets.

Lees' mother says her son suffered severe injuries to most of his body, and he remembers just about every painful detail of the incident.

"He remembers being under the vehicle, he remembers speeding through town trying to hold his head up," Lynne Borden told Action News.

Lees remains in the hospital, in extremely critical condition.

Investigators are looking for the driver of a green Ford Expedition with tinted windows and high intensity blue headlights.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Citizens Crime Commission tip line at 215-546-TIPS.
