Delco police chase ends with fiery crash in SW Phila

A police chase that began in Delaware County ended with a fiery crash in Southwest Philadelphia that left three people injured.

It started around 1:00 Saturday morning when Folcroft and Darby police responded to a bar fight in Darby.

Officers arrived to find that the two males involved jumped into a car and fled the scene.

The vehicle continued down 84th Street, going into Southwest Philadelphia.

The driver of the car lost control near the intersection of 84th Street and Bartram Avenue, causing the vehicle to strike another car and roll over.

The impact of the crash also sparked a fire.

Both suspects received non-life threatening injuries and were taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. The driver of the other vehicle was also hospitalized for minor injuries.

The suspects - who have not been indentified - are facing multiple charges.
