6 Phila. schools removed, 6 remain on dangerous list

Philadelphia schools are getting safer according to a Pennsylvania Department of Education report.

Six schools are on the Persistently Dangerous Schools list, down from 10 last year.

The schools removed from the dangerous list in Philadelphia include Edison High School, Fels High School, Northeast High School, Sayre High School, Shaw Middle School and South Philadelphia High School.

The schools on the 2012-2013 Persistently Dangerous list are Beeber Middle School, Douglas High School, Frankford High School, Kensington Business High School, Lincoln High School, and Strawberry Mansion High School.
