Tianna Edwards, 31, is charged with involuntary manslaughter, endangering the welfare of children, welfare fraud and related offenses.
It was June 29, 2012 when dive teams recovered the body of 7-year-old Isear Jeffcoat from the bottom of a swimming pool in East Oak Lane.
Police say he and 20 other children were dropped off at a private pool in the 6600 block of North 8th Street that afternoon.
Authorities said the boy's body was found in what was described as a "murky" pool.
The children were all attending Edwards' daycare, "Tianna's Terrific Tots," on Rising Sun Avenue in North Philadelphia when they were left at the pool.
Edwards is being held behind bars on $800,000 bail.
