It was just after 11:00 p.m. when bullets rang out on Hortter Street.
The 29-year-old victim was shot once in the leg and hand and remains at Einstein Hospital in stable condition.
Police later stopped a vehicle nearby on the 6600 block Crowson Street that fit the description of the gunman's car.
A person inside that vehicle fled into a nearby house, but surrendered a short time later after SWAT teams surrounded the building.
It was later determined that the man involved in the standoff was not the shooter.
There are no arrests at this time.
