Funeral services are scheduled to be held Wednesday in Lakewood for Dustin Friedland, a lawyer who lived in Hoboken. His wife, also a lawyer, was with him when the shooting occurred Sunday night in the parking garage of The Mall at Short Hills but wasn't wounded.
Police are seeking two assailants who fled in Friedland's silver Range Rover. The vehicle was recovered Monday in Newark, abandoned in a residential area near Interstate 78.
A reward for information leading the suspects' arrest and conviction had risen to $41,000 by Tuesday night. That total reflected pledges by a local anti-crime group, the mall and anonymous donors.
