Woman hospitalized after being shot in the face in Tacony

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A woman is in critical but stable condition after being shot in the face.

It happened on the 4700 block of Longshore Avenue in Tacony just before 1 a.m. Sunday.

When police arrived, they found multiple shell cases.

The victim was initially taken to Nazareth Hospital by a private vehicle, and then transported to Temple University Hospital by an ambulance.

So far no arrests have been made.
