DARBY, Pa. (WPVI) -- A 30-year-old man who is being accused of multiple rapes may have more victims, according to police in Darby, Pennsylvania.
Nafeas Alexander was arrested and charged in February with rape by force, sexual assault, false imprisonment, possession of a weapon, as well as other charges, after a victim came forward and filed a report with police.
The alleged incident happened on Feb. 14.
The victim told police she met Alexander through social media and, when she arrived at his home, she saw weapons displayed on tables.
She told police they started talking, then Alexander forced her to perform sex acts against her will, then he raped her.
She contacted police, who responded with the SWAT team and took Alexander into custody around 11 p.m. A resident shared a photo of the SWAT team responding on Valentine's Day.
Alexander posted bail, but police remembered he was accused by a woman in July.
That victim said consensual sex turned non-consensual and he held her against her will.
"After the February 14 incident, we contacted the victim from the July incident, and the detective re-interviewed her and we determined she was ready to prosecute," said Chief Joseph Gabe of the Darby Borough Police Department.
Alexander was arraigned on Tuesday morning and is being held on 10% of $500,000 bail.
Police said they believe there may be more victims and encourage them to reach out to the Darby Borough Police Department and ask to speak with a detective.
