Teen robbed leaving 7-Eleven store in Germantown; suspects sought

Police are asking the public's help in identifying the suspects wanted for allegedly robbing a teen leaving a 7-Eleven in Philadelphia's Germantown neighborhood.

GERMANTOWN -- Police are asking the public's help in identifying the suspects wanted for allegedly robbing a teen leaving a 7-Eleven in Philadelphia's Germantown neighborhood.



The incident happened around 9 p.m. on Sunday at the store located at 100 East Chelten Avenue.



According to police, a 15-year-old male went in the store to make a purchase. After he left the store, he was followed by three unknown males and one unknown female.

The victim then walked a short distance to the 100 block of East Champlost Street where he was punched in the face from behind and placed in a head lock.



Police say the suspects then stole the victim's I-Phone from his front pants pocket.



When the victim attempted to resist the robbery, he was allegedly threatened by one of the suspects who stated he was armed with a handgun and he would shoot him.



All the suspects then fled on foot and were last seen heading west on Champlost Street.



Suspect #1 is described as a black male, 16-17 years-of-age, 5'10", short hair, wearing a green jacket, and blue jeans.



Suspect #2 is described as black female, 10-12 years-of-age, 5'7", wearing a black coat, and blue jeans.



Suspect #3 is described as a black male, 16-18 years-of-age, 6'0", wearing a black wool hat, and a gray hooded sweatshirt.



Suspect #4 is described as a black male, 12-14 years-of-age, 5'1", wearing a light colored coat with an orange hood. This suspect indicated he was armed with a handgun.
