SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- An exciting basketball game was played Thursday at the Wells Fargo Center - but it didn't feature professional players from the Sixers.
Instead, the Sixers held their annual media game, which allows members of the media to suit up and take the court.
Action News anchors Sharrie Williams and Matt O'Donnell showed off their skills during the friendly ballgame.
Action News also had a chance to catch up with Sixers GM Scott O'Neil as the team is launching its first major charity initiative aimed at giving back to the kids of the Delaware and Lehigh Valleys.
"In our case, for the Sixers youth foundation we will be targeting middle school students hopefully use skills from basketball and classroom to build leaders of tomorrow," said O'Neil.
To kick off the foundation, the Sixers are hosting a fundraiser and Gala Thursday night at the Palestra.
