A food vendor was stabbed at a dining hall at La Salle University on Monday, and police are continuing their search for the suspect.
It happened just before 2:00 p.m. inside the Blue and Gold Dining Hall, located on the 1900 block of West Olney Avenue.
The victim, a Jack and Jill Ice Cream vendor, was had just finished making a delivery and went into a rest room to wash his hands. It was inside the rest room where an unknown suspect attacked, stabbing the victim in the left shoulder with an unknown object.
The suspect quickly fled the scene.

The victim, said to be in his 30's, was taken to Einstein Medical Center in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries.
Students who witnessed what happened say the victim was able to walk on his own to an ambulance.
La Salle University released a statement Monday afternoon, which reads in part:
"A text safety alert was issued immediately to all students, faculty, and staff informing them of the incident, followed by a second text safety alert instructing all to shelter in place. The shelter in place was lifted after about 45 minutes once Police and University Security deemed the area to be safe. The University continues to work in close cooperation with Philadelphia Police. The investigation continues."
The university describes the suspect as a white male in his 20's, wearing a blue La Salle sweatshirt and red hat.
So far, no arrests have been made.
