Dramatic video shows the moment when an Albuquerque police officer saved a baby girl's life using CPR as her family looked on.
Officer Martin Smith was called to a home on May 14 and found a 7-month-old baby girl, who was unresponsive. Smith then began performing CPR on the child and rubbing her chest in order to revive her.
The baby responds within moments and begins breathing normally.
"There she is, she's good. She's good," Smith can be overheard saying on the video.
The officer told ABC affiliate KOAT-TV that performing CPR on the child was second nature.
"Anyone who's had that training would go into autopilot and start responding," he said.
Albuquerque police said on Tuesday that the baby was taken to a hospital and is "doing great."
