Man wanted for sexual assault of NJ teen

Police are looking for a man suspected in the rape a 16-year-old girl. On Saturday, May 31st around 4:19am officers were called to the 800 block of Humbert Street in Vineland, New Jersey in response to a sexual assault.

The alleged victim, a 16-year-old female, told officers that she had been at a house party with some friends when a male acquaintance forced her to have sexual intercourse while they were alone in the basement.

After the assault the victim was transported by friends to the 800 block of Humbert Street. She was then transported to South Jersey Regional Medical Center where she was treated and released.

The suspect is identified as 18-year-old Christopher Saunders of 1029 Mercury Way. Saunders is described as a black male, standing 6'00" tall and weighing 150 lbs. A warrant has been issued for his arrest for Sexual Assault and bail has been set at $200,000 cash.

Saunders should be considered armed and dangerous. He was involved in an attempted homicide case and weapons possession on April 18th, 2008 and was arrested by the Patrol Division.
