Lunch box may have saved his life

Carlos Juarez was shot twice -- in the lunch box.

The New Haven, Connecticut, man was robbed while he waited for a ride to work the other morning.

When he told the bandits he didn't have any money, they shot him.

He instinctively held up the lunch box to protect his chest.

The bullets hit the cooler Juarez was carrying, then wounded him in the side.

One of the bullets was actually found inside the lunch box.

Juarez was treated and released from a local hospital.

A friend tells the AP that Juarez thinks the lunch box saved his life.
