A veterinarian says most of the hundreds of cats seized from an Allegheny County animal sanctuary in March have recovered enough to live normal lives.

Dr. Becky Morrow is treating more than 250 cats seized from the Tiger Ranch sanctuary in Frazer Township.

The sanctuary owner, 45-year-old Linda Bruno, is awaiting trial on nearly 600 summary and misdemeanor animal cruelty charges.

Investigators say they found dead and dying cats among others living in deplorable conditions during a March raid at the 29-acre Tiger Ranch compound near Tarentum.

Morrow says many of the cats have gained weight since she began treating them at a shelter in Clarion County.

But Morrow says five or six cats remain in grave danger of dying.
