Philadelphia authorities say the death of a 62-year-old man over the weekend was related to the city's latest heat wave. Medical examiner's office spokesman Jeff Moran says the man died of hypertensive cardiovascular disease and excessive exposure to the heat. He said the victim's body was found Saturday and his death was determined to be heat-related on Sunday.

Moran says the man refused to use air conditioning.

He said the city has recorded 20 heat-related deaths so far this year.
