Gines was sentenced today in a Delaware County courtroom.
He pleaded guilty earlier to the attempted murder of a Delaware County cop.
Back on New Years of last year, prosecutors say Gines broke into a Norwood home, assaulted a woman, then shot at responding officers.
One of those officers, Matthew Illitch, was critically wounded and is recovering.
