A trash truck ran off the road, caught fire, and closed northbound 202 for at least two hours. The crash happened just before 1 p.m. along northbound Route 202 in West Whiteland.

Police tell Action News the truck apparently lost control, ran off the highway just north of Boot Road, drove down into a wooded section near the road and then caught fire, trapping the driver inside.

Rescue efforts are still underway. A medical helicopter is standing by to transport the driver once he is freed.

There's no word how long police expect northbound Route 202 to remain closed.
