Bark and ride in Colorado

Officials in one Colorado city may throw pet owners a bone.

The Aspen City Council is considering a suggestion to allow dog owners to bring their four-legged friends on the bus.

The idea is from former councilwoman Georgeann Waggaman.

She says she often drives less than two miles to work because it's the only way to take her dog.

Waggaman suggests charging $35 to $50 for a "pooch pass."

Aspen already allows dogs in many banks, stores and hotels.
