Man charged with tattooing kids, 14 & 9

SHARON, Pa. (AP) - January 21, 2009 Police say 29-year-old James Houser, of Sharon, tattooed the siblings last summer with a homemade tattoo gun. He wrote "100 percent dead" on each of the boy's arms and put a heart on the girl's leg and something illegible on her back.

Police say the children's mother found out right away, but didn't notify authorities. Instead, the boy's father, who doesn't live with the family, notified authorities recently after discovering them.

Houser isn't a licensed tattoo artist. He's charged with four counts of tattooing a minor without a parent's consent or presence.

A listed number for Houser couldn't be located and it wasn't clear if he has an attorney.
