Guardian charged after baby swallows crack

ERIE, Pa. (AP) - May 7, 2009 Forty-three-year-old Roxanne Robinson, of Erie, is charged with reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of a child.

Police say the 1-year-old child was taken to Hamot Medical Center after she was found unconscious and having seizures in the woman's home April 18.

Doctors since discovered cocaine in the child's system and she was transferred UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. The child has since recovered.

Police have not said how Robinson is related to the child, or who has custody of her now. A phone listed in Robinson's name was disconnected Thursday.
