PHILADELPHIA - August 6, 2009 Happ has been Philadelphia's most consistent pitcher this
season. The Phillies, however, soon will have six starters once
Martinez comes off the disabled list.
Happ tossed a four-hitter against Colorado and struck out 10 for
his second career shutout Wednesday night. The rookie left-hander
is 8-2 with a 2.74 ERA in 26 games. He's 6-2 with a 2.80 ERA in 14
games as a starter. Happ began the season in the bullpen before
replacing an ineffective Chan Ho Park.
