Paramedics responded to the area of Rysing Drive and River Road around 4:00 p.m. for the report of a crash involving a bicycle.
The 11-year-old boy who was struck was treated for leg and facial injuries. He was transported to AI DuPont Children's Hospital and admitted in stable condition.
New Castle County Police are investigating the accident. There is no word on if the driver will face charges.
