Police: No leads in theft of Pa. girl's remains

LANCASTER, Pa. - November 1, 2010

The remains and casket of Paula Ream were stolen from the Riverview Cemetery in Lancaster in August. She was buried in 1962.

Lancaster police Lt. Todd Umstead says the crime took place in an isolated part of a cemetery near a wooded area.

WGAL-TV reports that investigators say they haven't found witnesses or gotten good tips in the case.

Police say they are comparing the case to other similar grave robberies in other areas. They are also looking into whether it could be part of some sort of religious ritual.
