Fire in South Philadelphia under control

Philadelphia fire crews worked quickly to douse a blaze Monday night.

At around 9:25 p.m. the Philadelphia Fire Department responded to the report of a fire on the 1500 block of Dickinson Street in South Philadelphia.

When they arrived, they found heavy fire coming from the occupied row home.

Crews were able to get everyone out of the home safely.

The fire was placed under control in less than 30 minutes.

There is no word on the cause.
