Mr. Food: 5-minute Shrimp

Summer is fast approaching. While the amount of daylight increases so does the desire for quick and easy dinners. Mr. food has a delicious recipe that you can cook up in just five minutes.

Serves: 4

Cooking Time: 5 min


  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined, with tails on
  • 1/2 teaspoon seafood seasoning (we like Old Bay)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons peeled fresh grated ginger (see Notes)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley


  • In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add shrimp, Old Bay seasoning, pepper, and ginger. Cook 2 to 4 minutes, or until shrimp are just pink
  • Stir in lemon juice, butter, and parsley; mix well. Serve immediately.

    Note: Serve over yellow rice for a tasty meal with eye appeal.
