Multi-alarm fire rages in Pa. industrial park

Firefighters are battling a raging fire that has sent a tall plume of thick, black smoke into the air in Northampton County.

The fire is reported to be at National Plastics and Manufacturing Co., which is located in the Palmer Industrial Park in Palmer Township, Northampton County.

Initial reports from the scene were that the fire started in a dumpster and spread to the building, which is now reported to be fully-involved in flames.

Officials on the scene have struck a third alarm to bring in extra manpower.

There have been no immediate reports of injuries.

According to its website, National Plastics and Manufacturing Co. is a post-industrial plastics recycling company that has been in business for more than 20 years.
