Police in the New Jersey city report a longtime police officer delivered a baby yesterday in a McDondald's.
A police spokesman says the officer (James Kniepp) was flagged down as he drove past Mickey D's.
The officer successfully delivered the baby boy in the bathroom.
The Star-Ledger of Newark reports the baby was about two months premature.
But mom and her new baby are said to be doing well in a local hospital.
