40-year-old Caldwell Dingle is charged with burglary, theft and criminal mischief.
According to police, officers were called Friday morning about a residential burglary in Springfield, Delaware County.
Dingle was followed from the scene of the crime to a home along Spring Valley Road in Darby.
Police and SWAT surrounded the home, and a little while later Dingle surrendered without incident.
There is no word on what, if anything, was stolen from the Springfield property.
