A number of fire departments were called to the scene around 9:15 a.m. in the 900 block of Lawnton Terrace in Darby Township.
The view from Chopper 6 HD showed what appears to be one half of a duplex nearly consumed by fire.
Flames were still erupting from the burned-out structure.
There is no immediate word on any injuries in this blaze nor is there any word on how it started.
