Police confirmed to Action News that 25-year-old Christina Figueroa died at 8:30 a.m. on Monday.
It was around 4:30 p.m. Sunday when police were called for a report of a shooting at the intersection of Ruth Street and East Orleans Street.
When officers arrived they found Figueroa with a gunshot wound to the forehead. Police quickly placed her in a patrol car and rushed her to the hospital, but efforts to save her life failed.
Investigators said on Tuesday they still had no known motive for the killing.
Police continue looking for two suspects, both described as thin Hispanic males, last seen fleeing on Indiana Street in a white coupe, possible an Acura or a Honda.
