Pollen watch starts earlier due to mild winter

PHILADELPHIA, PA.; March 5, 2012

The Asthma Center, which takes readings for the Greater Philaelphia area, will begin posting daily counts this week, nearly 2 weeks earlier than normal.

Dr. Donald Dvorin says some patients have been feeling the pollen since last month, and have been into the office for care.

Some arborists think trees are about 2 weeks ahead of normal.

Mold spore counts have been high most of the winter, with the lack of snow cover.
