The 89-year-old South Carolina widow chased off two bandits with a .38 caliber pistol she pulled from under her mattress.
Hodge tells a local paper the gun had belonged to late husband, who died more than 20 years ago.
Authorities say two suspects were later busted, after a passerby noted their license plate number.
