Pa. neighborhood dispute leaves 1 dead, 1 hurt

LAURELDALE, Pa. (AP) - August 21, 2012

Police in Berks County said one Laureldale resident went to confront the other and ended up shooting the victim on his own porch at about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Lt. David Beohm (Bayn) says the victim's dog ran up the street, and a contractor working up the street caught it.

Beohm says the other man was walking the animal back to the residence when he too was confronted by the suspect and shot.

The second victim ran two blocks to seek aid from a local volunteer fire company. He was taken to Reading Hospital.

Beohm said the suspect then went back to his home and later surrendered to police when they arrived.
