Suspects sought in Kensington robbery

JUNIATA - September 27, 2012

The robbery occurred just after 5:00 a.m. in the 3900 block of Kensington Avenue.

Police say an unknown black male entered the store and pointed a gun at an employee while another suspect remained at the front door as a lookout.

The armed suspect then jumps behind the counter and forces the victim to open the cash register. However, he strikes the victim with the gun before the draw opens.

Once the draw is open, the suspect removes about $400 and flees the store with the other suspect in an unknown direction.

The first suspect is described as a black male, 20-25 years of age, 5'9" to 5'10" tall. He was wearing a black baseball hat with white brim and "SPURS" written on it, a distinctive dark gray/black hooded zip-up sweatshirt with a red hood and red pockets on the front, blue jeans and tan boots, armed with a silver and black semi automatic handgun.

The second suspect is described as a black male, dark skin and wearing black jeans, black jacket and black hooded sweatshirt.
