Fire destroys twin home in Delaware County

Firefighters battled a blaze that destroyed a twin house in Darby Twp., Pennsylvania early Friday morning.

The 2-alarm fire broke out around 12:30 a.m. on the 500 block of Oak Lane.

Crews arrived to heavy fire showing from the first and second floors of the 2-story dwelling.

Police say a mother and her two daughters had to climb out onto the porch roof and then climb into their neighbor's window. The woman's son escaped through the front door.

All were checked out at a nearby hospital and are expected to be okay.

Investigators are trying to determine what sparked the blaze.
