Clerk beaten and robbed at Pennsauken gas station

Police are searching for the two men who robbed and beat a gas station clerk in Pennsauken, New Jersey early Monday morning.

The incident happened around 1:00 a.m. at the Coastal station at Route 130 and Marlton Pike.

Police say an armed man demanded cash while the other robber stole cigarettes and cigars.

One of the suspects pistol whipped the clerk in the incident.

The two suspects then fled the gas station with an undetermined amount of cash.

The clerk was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Police are checking surveillance video in the area and examining evidence found at the scene.
