Fire inside vacant N Phila. building deemed suspicious

Firefighters battled a fire in a vacant four story building late Friday night in North Philadelphia.

Crews were called out around 11:35 p.m. to the 2700 block of North Hancock Street where they found fire on the first and second floor of the building.

They quickly went to work battling the flames in the now vacant apartment building and were able to get it under control in less than an hour.

No injuries were reported.

Authorities say the cause is suspicious.
