Police responded to responded to 911 calls on the 500 block Greenhill Avenue around 11:15 a.m.
Police say arriving officers observe the suspect, identified as 22-year-old Christopher Bailey, attempting to enter a residence through a basement door.
The officers surrounded the home and Bailey was taken into custody without incident.
Police recovered two knives at the scene that the suspect used to gain access to the home.
He was arraigned and released after posting $13,000 unsecured bond.
