Police investigate bank robbery in Burlington Township

BURLINGTON TWP., N.J. - April 11, 2014

It happened 3:50 p.m. at the Beneficial Bank located at 809 Sunset Road.

Surveillance cameras captured the scene of the man robbing the Beneficial Bank on Sunset Road in Burlington Township.

Police believe he is the same man whose crystal-clear surveillance image was captured during a robbery yesterday at the Bank of America on Route 130 in Willingboro.

Investigators also believe he held up the Beneficial Bank in Willingboro back on April 3rd.

The suspect is described as standing approximately 6 feet 2 inches tall, approximately 200 pounds.

Detectives say he may have driven away from Friday's heist in an older model dark-colored SUV described as "beat-up" with lots of scratches and dents.

Authorities working on the case say they are approaching it as a cross-department investigation.

"We are together with the Willingboro Police Department in our investigative measures," said Detective Roberson.

Police say during the last two robberies the suspect simply handed the teller a note and made off with an undetermined amount of cash without displaying a weapon. They say he did not speak much at all.

It is not clear how much the man made off with but no one was hurt.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Willingboro or Burlington Township Police Departments.
