Lumberton, New Jersey brush fire considered 'suspicious'

A brush fire that destroyed 25 acres in Lumberton, New Jersey is being called 'suspicious' by investigators.

The flames were reported around 2:00 Saturday afternoon near Route 38 and Smithville Road.

Heavy smoke forced police to divert traffic away from the area.

The fire was brought under control around 3:00 p.m.

No one was injured.

While authorities do say the fire is suspicious in nature, there has been no exact word on a cause.
